Change Lead
  • $125,286 per annum + superannuation
  • Full time, fixed term position (6 months)
  • Geelong based role (hybrid work from home)

The Change Lead provides strategic and tactical change management support and guidance to WorkSafe Business Units to help enable effective adoption and integration of change within the Business Unit and across WorkSafe.

This role is key to ensuring that changes driven by technology, processes, operating model, corporate strategy and government directives are successfully adopted and embedded, with minimal disruption to the organisation, its people and stakeholders.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the effective design, implementation and evaluation of change management activities and strategic approach including deliverables including: cases for change, change impact assessment, risk assessment, stakeholder analysis, stakeholder and communications plans, training plans and transition plans.
  • Drive positive change behaviours and outcomes by coaching and influencing Executives and Senior Leaders to affect successful change outcomes for those leading, sponsoring and being impacted by change. Focusing on understanding stakeholder issues and WorkSafe and business unit specific context to facilitate a high level of tailored end to end change management.
  • Develop and maintain the Business Unit Change Management Strategy, aligned to WorkSafe's overarching Change Management approach. Support Business Unit and Enterprise Change Portfolios.
  • Build change capability in team members and business leaders through coaching and feedback.
  • Monitor change activities against project critical path and ensure key milestones are met. Provide strategic recommendations to Senior Leaders and coordinate internal expertise in the design and delivery of bespoke change initiatives by influencing leaders to ensure appropriate change management activities are undertaken to maximise change adoption.

About you

You are a Change professional who has experience in providing advice and support to leaders through organisational change. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allows you to build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You have the ability to work collaboratively and share knowledge to develop and coach leaders and employees across the organisation.

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in leading and managing change in large and complex organisations.
  • Strategic thinking, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in applying Change Management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Ability to influence the thinking and actions of others, and to facilitate diverse groups
  • Experience managing projects including excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to meet multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to undertake research, provide analysis and make recommendations to provide innovative solutions in a complex environment, including the capture and analysis of input received from stakeholders
  • A tertiary qualification in Change Management, Business, Organisational Development, Behavioural Science or Behaviour Communications or equivalent is desirable
