Program Officer WorkWell
 
  • $125,286 per annum + superannuation
  • Full time, fixed term until 30th June 2025
  • Geelong (Hybrid working model)

About the role

The Victorian Government recently released the recommendations from the Ministerial Taskforce on Workplace Sexual Harassment.  These recommendations include a number of reforms that will prevent and better respond to sexual harassment in Victorian Workplaces. 

The Victorian Government has agreed with the Taskforce overarching recommendation that work-related gendered violence and workplace sexual harassment are treated as occupational health and safety issues.   As the State’s Health and Safety Regulator, WorkSafe will be responsible for delivering a number of these recommendations.

Specifically the Program Officer will support the delivery of Taskforce Recommendation number four - expansion of the WorkWell program to include a dedicated project stream for preventing work-related gendered violence and workplace sexual harassment.  This role will also:

  • Work across multiple project or program teams
  • Collaborate in the scoping, design and development of projects using co-design, human centred design and systems theory techniques
  • Use the results of research and analysis, to design strategies and interventions
  • Use behavioural insights to lead and communicate change
  • Act as a mentor or provide coaching to other team members as required.

About you

  • You will have experience in delivering behaviour change programs at a population level
  • Your communication and organisational skills are exemplary
  • You will have an understanding of work-related gendered violence including sexual harassment
  • You will have the ability & proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • You will have strong attention to detail as well as problem solving, research and analytical skills
  • You will have proven project management experience including the ability to monitor and report on projects and make recommendations to achieve the outcomes of WorkWell
  • You have a passion for making a difference in workplace health and safety
  • You are a team oriented person who enjoys delivering an impact
  • You will have a tertiary qualification or experience in a related discipline (e.g. health promotion, OHS, health sciences)
  • You understand the legal, policy and the operational environment of WorkSafe Victoria and are able to develop initiatives, supported by research, analysis and business case justifying the initiative
  • You will contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (health promotion, OHS, health sciences) desireable.
