Family Support Contract Specialist
  • $108,419 per annum + Superannuation
  • Full time, Fixed term until June 2023
  • Geelong

About the role

The Family Support Contract Specialist (FSCS) is responsible for the implementation of the family support reform initiative. This initiative aims to provide greater support for families impacted by workplace fatalities, including both emotional & practical assistance.  The FSCS will be responsible for the successful on boarding of providers and the ongoing provider engagement and contract management required to implement the commitments made through the family support initiative. 

Some key accountabilities include: 

  • Leads and coordinates the external Bereavement Support workers and co-ordinates with other business partners, to ensure that the service is delivered in line with the relevant practice frameworks and service agreement requirements
  • Leads project reporting including building the monitoring and evaluation framework required to manage KPI’s in service agreements and identifying review points to determine if the projects or programs are on track to identify improvement opportunities, gaps and risks and provide recommendations
  • Assist with ensuring contractual requirements are met including review and assurance of agent insurance, quarterly and annual agent reports, contract notifications
  • Partner with stakeholders within IBU and across the broader organisation to deliver key project milestones for Strategic Priorities
  • Plan, monitor and record changes to contract documentation and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the process

  • Knowledge of the policy and operational environment of WorkSafe and the ability to provide evidence based advice to the organisation on the family support reform project
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed influencing, negotiating and networking skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
  • Excellent prioritisation, planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail and the capacity to deal effectively with a range of tasks and ability to achieve deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Clear, concise and effective written communication skills, including report writing that demonstrates the ability to analyse results, identify trends, issues and/or emerging risks.
  • Analysis of processes to support the continuous improvement of systems and work practices and the development of procedures/processes to improve effectiveness.
  • Preference for a tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g. social work, counselling, psychology or other relevant allied health discipline)
