Manager - Provider Registration and Vendor Management
  • $132,814 per annum + Superannuation

About the role

WorkSafe’s Insurance Business Unit (IBU) is responsible for the management and delivery of workers compensation insurance and self-insurance services for WorkSafe. The Business Service and Enablement (BSE) Division is responsible for delivering the supporting and enabling capabilities across the business unit, in particular as business owners of the technology platforms and services.

The primary purpose of this team is to deliver an effective and efficient provider registration services and to manage the inbound and outbound channels (scanning and imaging, digital invoicing, bulk printing and email) used by WorkSafe for its insurance services. The team works to deliver service to internal and external clients.

 Some key accountabilities include: 

  • Lead a specialist technical team responsible for managing the registration of providers who undertake services for injured workers, including ensuring performance targets are met and efficient processes are maintained and developed.
  • Provide expert advice within domain and utilise expert advice on service delivery to resolve operational issues, provide expertise on highly complex concepts and manage issues and sensitivities as required
  • Initiate, establish and maintain key strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including third-party service providers, to ensure WorkSafe’s business objectives are met.
  • Accountable for leading, developing and maintaining contract management frameworks and production assurance for third-party service providers
  • Identify and manage the delivery of enhancements and change for third-party service providers and to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of current systems including making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Strategic decision making and planning taking into consideration new and strategic issues impacting on the operational environment and evaluating and mitigating risk in the delivery of outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team, coordinating work and aligning resources to ensure quality delivery within agreed timeframes
  • Significant experience in managing and delivering multiple contracts and vendor management for production-critical systems and services, including performance assessment and negotiation
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and an ability to recommend improvements to business processes to delivery efficient and effective services
  • Experience in providing highly specialised advice to external stakeholders in a complex environment on behalf of the organisation
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, collaborate and negotiate with stakeholders Well-developed interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills
