Recovery & Support Coordinator
 
  • Fixed Term until July 2022
  • $89,451.00 per annum + superannuation
  • Geelong location

As a Recovery & Support Coordinator, you will adopt a person-centred case management approach to proactively manage a portfolio of injured workers, supporting each towards the best prospects of health and functional recovery, ensuring the injured worker experience is firmly in focus during the journey.

We have two positions available, one fixed term until July 2022 and the other fixed term until June 2023. 

Key Accountabilities

You will assist in managing a diverse caseload of long tail claims with input from members of your team and other specialist resources, on medical, psychological, physical and financial issues. More specifically the Recovery Support Coordinator will:

  • Develop trusted relationships with injured workers and their support networks
  • Identify when a claim requires additional support, and work collaboratively with other teams in the division to develop the right course of action for the injured worker using a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Engage in some face-to-face communication, including visits, with injured workers and their support networks as part of expectation-setting, the development of recovery plans, and facilitation of their recovery goals

About you

You have minimum 2 years’ experience in Case management skills within a personal injury, health or disability context. More specifically you have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build productive relationships and the motivation to proactively bring people together
  • Contemporary attitude to case management which includes understanding and knowledge of long term injury and disability and its impact on individuals
  • Effective communication, negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in working independently and proactively to achieve outcomes

Qualifications (desirable)

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in case management, rehabilitation, medical and paramedical, disability, social services or other relevant field
  • Medical, social services or rehabilitation background
  • Valid Victorian Driver’s License
