Senior Digital Communications Advisor
 
  • $120,109 per annum + Superannuation
  • Full Time Fixed Term until January 2022
  • Geelong Location

About the role

As the Senior Digital Communications Advisor you will provide support and advice to improve the digital communications experience of WorkSafe’s employees.  You will work collaboratively with stakeholders and a dedicated project team to plan, develop and implement a new internal digital communications platform.  This role will also:

  • Develop a short and long term strategic vision for WorkSafe’s new internal digital communications platform
  • Develop a targeted communication and stakeholder engagement strategy to educate and inform employees on how to effectively use the new platform
  • Develop governance and editorial guidelines
  • Provide proactive and responsive strategic and tactical communications advice about the project, identifying and managing reputational issues, risks and opportunities

About you

You are an experienced Digital Communications Advisor with demonstrated experience engaging internal and external audiences. You are a creative, team oriented person who enjoys making an impact on your stakeholder or audience.  You will also possess:

  • An ability to synthesise complex material and issues to develop a clear strategic direction and document tactical plans
  • Advanced digital skills across a variety of digital platforms including a background in intranet publishing systems
  • Prior experience working on a large sale project within a dedicated project team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues or messages clearly, simply and effectively to a range of audiences
  • An ability to build effective working relationships, with highly developed influencing and negotiation skills

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in PR or Communications (or related field) preferred.
